What is Wakefest Albany?

Wakefest was created by local wakeboarders wanting to compete against each other while at the same time benefiting a worthy cause. Wakefest takes place in Albany, Ga on the Flint River. While this event was created by locals, anyone who wakeboards or wants to come out and have a good time is welcome. This year Wakefest is proud to announce that the event will be to the benefit of Taylor Rumph, a local girl with cerebal palsy. All proceeds will go to her foundation.

Wakefest '11 will be held July 9, 2011 at Turner Park on the Flint River. Turner Park is located by the old Turner Army Airfield and Flint River Municiple Golf Course. Wakefest '11 will consist of a wakeboarding competition with five classes, music, games, and fun! For more information on the competition itself, visit the Tournament Info page or contact us directly on the Contact us page. We are excited to have H2O Sports out of Dothan, AL bringing a boat for us to pull all of the competitors with. So if you wakeboard or if you just want to have some fun, come out and enjoy the competition!
